Mac Users to get 802.11b and 802.11a Products

Proxim announced yesterday that it is introducing an Apple Mac 802.11b USB Adapter at this week's MacWorld Expo. Proxim is also demonstrating its 802.11a solutions for the Mac, which it said will be available this Spring.

The Proxim Skyline 802.11b USB Adapter can be used with iMacs and other machines that do not have built-in Airport capability.

Proxim's Harmony 802.11a product lines feature speeds up to 54 Mbps and 108 Mbps in Proxim's 2X mode.

The Skyline 802.11b USB Adapter for the Mac is available for a street price of $149. Mac drivers for the product are available at the Proxim Web site.

Windows versions of the Harmony and Symphony products are now shipping. Mac drivers for the 802.11a products will be available this Spring when the product is shipping.
